Title: Wings 2024
Artist: Janus
Technique: Mixed media with ducats double gold 23 carat
Size: 100x150 cm
Date: 2024
Janus’s painting “Wings” is a symbolic portrayal of freedom, spiritual elevation, and inner strength. In natural light, the composition reveals two wing-like forms stretching in opposite directions. The artwork is constructed from delicate spiral patterns, energetic splashes, and richly layered color – from gold and blue to deep black. Amidst the chaos, there is harmony – as if the wings are born from an inner explosion of energy.
In darkness, the painting transforms into something ethereal – subtle glowing lines trace the contours of movement, like a breath or echo of something that lifts beyond the visible world. The wings become a symbol of hope, of an upward journey that continues even when all external light is gone.
This is a work about strength that rises from disorder – and the possibility of flight even when unseen.
